Dear Study Abroad Students,

Mercy College is following advisories published by the  and the  regarding the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19), first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. Our goal is to keep an open dialogue with everyone potentially impacted, and our staff is working closely with regional health authorities to stay abreast of ongoing changes. The health and safety of our community are our top priorities and we encourage our students studying or traveling abroad to be vigilant and to stay informed of the latest developments.

We will try to keep you up to date on information as it becomes available. Below if information as of today:

South Korea:

  • For students currently studying in South Korea, the start of term has been delayed at Korea University and Yonsei University until March 16.
  • The following organizations are updating their websites on an ongoing basis:

Italy:

  • For students currently studying in Italy, classes have been suspended at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Italy, until March 2.

Other Countries:
We understand that other countries could be impacted moving forward and we encourage all study abroad students planning to travel internationally to visit the U.S. Department of State and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) websites for updates.
